Specialists for hip alloplastic, Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Odense University Hospital

If you do, you might be our new hip replacement surgeon. We offer senior physician positions in the area of ​​hip replacement at the orthopedic surgery department, Odense University Hospital with entry 1st of October 2023 or by agreement. The positions can be filled at either senior physician or ward physician level.

We are looking for trained specialists in orthopedic surgery - skilled specialists with interest and preferably competence in hip alloplastic surgery from primary hip alloplastic to revision alloplastic surgery and periacetabular osteotomies.

About the department
The orthopedic surgery department has approx. 400 employees, of which about 90 are physicians. We put the needs of the patient first - with a background in professional quality, research and development. The department is located centrally in OUH's trauma center function and has competencies at main function and highly specialized level. We have several well-established research laboratories: Bone-/cartilage laboratory, stereo X-ray laboratory and gait analysis laboratory. In addition, the Accident Analysis Group is part of the department.

The hip alloplastic sector takes care of all patient categories. We offer you training in primary hip alloplastic surgery and the care of revision alloplastic and periacetabular osteotomies if needed. We cooperate with the trauma sector in connection with, among other things, acetabular fracture, and with the sports sector in connection with hip scans.

Internally in the department, we have a culture of excellent cooperation between the sectors. We aim for a good tone and a good working environment and depend on everyone contributing to the community. The department consists of a unit in Odense and one in Svendborg.
